10% of the Group's pre-tax profits goes to the HeartCount Fund, that's a total of £82,680 to be paid out across qualifying team members due to a record pre-tax profit for the first six months of the year
The HeartCount Fund was launched last August and shares a proportion of the Group’s profits with its employees.
Manorview Group's employees have to have been in continuous employment for 12 months to be able to qualify for the HeartCount Fund, this year a total of 311 members of staff qualified to be included in the firt disbursement which will take place in January 2018. The second pay-out will take place during Summer 2018 and is based on full year results.
The name HeartCount is a reflection of the company's ethos, employees are ‘Heartcounts’ rather than ‘Headcounts’. The intention is to make staff feel valued and recognised for their hard work.
The Manorview Group has a workforce of nearly 600, their ultimate goal is to encourage employee retention, further increase profitability leading to a growth in the HeartCount Fund so that more employees can benefit from the fund.
The Group was founded by Glasgow-based Steve Graham in 2007 with the purchase of The Commercial Hotel in Wishaw, Lanarkshire. Five pubs, two nightclubs and nine hotels were acquired since and last June they celebrated 10 years in business, with a turnover of just under £16m for the entire group.
The group is family-run, Steve Graham’s son Carlton, is Group Operations Manager, and daughter Shauna is Group Operations Support. Steve’s niece Fallon Cowley is Commercial Director, and her husband Anthony Cowley is Property Development Director.
In 2017 the Manorview Hotels & Leisure Group was listed in the London Stock Exchange 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain Report. This is the second time the company has been listed, the first time being 2015.
